Never Forget 9-11 Foundation is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization that strives to honor the officers and heroes around our community and those officers who are survivors of September 11, 2001. The Never Forget 9-11 Foundation’s efforts are aimed toward honoring this very specific and heroic group of individuals and their families through community awareness events. Through our NC 2 NYC Campaign and our K9 Campaigns, we strive to raise money and awareness.

The Never Forget 9-11 Foundation was formed in 2016 by Christine Livingston - a Law Enforcement Officer for the City of Raleigh. As an officer, she has a passion to help those who put their life on the line daily to serve others in their community. First Responders are there to make the situation safer and better. The job is never about the paycheck, it is about the greater good and the gratitude from people.

The Never Forget 9-11 Foundation is a North Carolina state approved non-profit foundation; 501 © 3 Non Profit -  Federal Tax ID 81-1994743   State Solicitation # EX007567. The foundation was founded by and is managed by current and/or former 1st Responders and Military members.

We Will Not Forget 9/11

Are you staying awake at night wondering how you can make a difference for first responders and their K9 partners?

First responders and service members face life and death challenges on the job every single day. Many who responded on September 11, 2001 gave their all.
Our goal? We will not forget 9/11. We’ll also do everything in our power to support those who serve and protect us.
We partner with creators of change who want a chance to contribute to the greater good by:
  • Keeping the memory of September 11th, 2001, relevant.
  • Educating future generations on the tragedy.
  • Providing support, equipment, and a rewarding experience to those who protect and serve our communities.

"Great organization! Helps take care of our K-9 officers!"

Hi, I'm Christine!

I’m a former law enforcement officer who followed in the footsteps of my father, a retired Nassau County New York Police Officer. I always watched him help others in need and put public safety and well-being ahead of his own.

I felt honored to follow him into the job — one that’s never about the paycheck and always about the greater good and about gratitude from people.

One day when I was at the Raleigh Tunnel to Towers 5k — a race commemorating fallen firefighter Steven Siller’s run on 9/11 — five Cary firefighters approached me. One asked, “So how do we get to the BIG RACE (the Tunnel to Towers 5k in NYC)?”

I’m a Long Islander… “Google it,” I said. True to Long Island style — direct and with a hint of sarcasm.

Then as if the world would end, I heard God say, “This is what I mean by serving people.” I knew it was time to LISTEN.

Soon after, the NC 2 NYC Campaign was born, and it became part of the greater good moving forward.

Because we wanted to make sure that first responders and military personnel could participate in this annual event, and we knew many could not afford the luxury of heading up there for a few days on their own, we created the Never Forget 9-11 Foundation.
Now, the Never Forget 9/11 Foundation helps individuals and businesses that want to make a difference keep the memory of 9/11 alive while supporting first responders and their K9 partners, saving lives, and contributing in meaningful ways for the good of all.

Our mission:
To help the creator of change in you find a partner for…
  • Remembering 9/11.
  • Educating future generations on the tragedy of 9/11.
  • Providing support, equipment, and a rewarding experience to those who protect and serve our communities.
Let’s  contribute to the greater good… together.

Make a real difference for first responders and their families AND save K9 lives:

1 | Create a vision for remembering 9/11.
Remember your experience — whether you lived it or heard stories. Think about the first responders and their K9 partners who came together the day after to search for survivors. Create a vision for keeping those memories alive. We’ll help you funnel your efforts.

2 | Follow your vision.
We know if time goes by and the memories fade, future generations will miss out on all we’ve learned from the tragedy of the fallen towers. We’ve partnered with people just like you who don’t want to forget. It’s your turn for remembering 9/11. Follow your vision to keep the memories alive and support today’s first responders and their K9 partners.

3 | Enjoy making a difference every single day.
Fast forward one year. Making a real difference is finally possible, and you can rest easier knowing you’re making the contribution you’ve always wanted to make, keeping our first responders and their K9 partners safe, and keeping the memory of 9/11 alive for future generations.

“Helping hands for our police K9 units.. what a wonderful organization that provides the trauma kits and bullet proof vests for the K9 Officer that’s often forgotten. I'm grateful that people like this can help our Laws with Paws!”
- Tammy Lowry K9 Handler
